Pros

Everyone I worked with was amazing. I met some of the kindest, most hardworking and generally awesome people I've ever worked with at Dealpath. I also thought the CEO was great - had a clear vision, knew how to lead through good management, and was super down to earth and easy to work with. The pay was competitive and had good benefits. At the time we had to come in to the office 2 days a week, which I understand because of the industry, but they could acquire even better talented if they opened up to remote work. The office was great which helped.

Cons

I would not in a million years recommend working here despite the positive aspects. Management below the CEO was incompetent and chaotic. Rather than prioritizing hiring people with excellent management skills who had experience in startup/growth stage tech companies, hiring was focused on alum of big name companies, and high-level leadership experience at recognizable companies. These managers had absolutely no clue how to work within the unique environment of a startup, even one growing quickly. It's expected for things to change quickly in this type of company, but the expediency with which things went from completely on track to a total mess was unhinged. One minute you were doing an amazing job and the project was going well, and the next minute you're getting chewed out for something completely inconsequential. Management's expectations were all over the place and constantly changing, so that no one could possibly keep up or meet them. Feedback was completely Jekyll/Hyde -- you could be getting great positive feedback, then go into a review and be shredded to pieces out of nowhere. We were constantly walking on eggshells and expecting to be gaslit into thinking we'd done something wrong at any moment. The company's priorities are just generally all over the place. Because of that, you'll end up wearing way too many hats and having expectations constantly moving and expanding so you're being criticized on how you're doing a job you were never hired for nor are qualified for despite tackling it and reprioritizing your own work to do something you're not supposed to. Overall, absolutely garbage management, lack of direction, and poor expectation setting completely overshadow how incredible the people are. People were constantly frustrated, but we at least had each other.

Pros

Working at Dealpath has been a really positive experience for me. The company is growing, but it still feels like a place where people genuinely care about doing good work and supporting each other. I’ve been impressed by how much the team actually lives the values around integrity, respect, and collaboration, not just talks about them. Day to day, people are kind, helpful, and willing to jump in when you need a hand. There’s a real sense of “we’re in this together,” which makes even the busy weeks feel manageable. I also appreciate how much trust and ownership I’m given. If you have an idea or want to take something on, there’s usually room to run with it. The work itself is interesting, and the company is clearly building something impactful. We’re encouraged to be curious and try new approaches, and there’s a lot of focus on improving how we work and building for the future. From a people standpoint, Dealpath does a thoughtful job with policies around flexibility, paid time off, parental leave, and creating a respectful, inclusive environment. It makes a difference when a company backs up its values with real actions. Overall, it’s a place where I feel appreciated, challenged in a good way, and surrounded by teammates who want to do great work. If you enjoy a mix of fast-paced growth and genuinely good people, it’s a strong fit.

Cons

No place is perfect. The pace can be fast and sometimes a bit scrappy as we scale, which may not be for everyone. We’re still maturing some of our internal processes and systems, and sometimes cross-team coordination takes extra effort. To the company’s credit, people are aware of this and actively working to improve it.
