Unwilling to accommodate WFH - Health Information Specialist I Datavant Employee Review

Pros

My team was small, and we had a really tight bond. The training was extensive, and I never felt like I couldn't ask a question if I didn't know something.

Cons

I switched to WFH after 2 years and a significant life change. I worked for another 2 years remotely. While working remotely, I was constantly threatened to come back on-site, even when I moved more than an hour away. They were unwilling to be considerate, and seemingly, would rather have lost one of the only trained employees on the schedule than actually attempt to accommodate me. Even when I asked if I could switch to part time, or just not working the days they needed me to come in, I was told that was not an option and that I would have to accept the points for missing days. Meaning I could only miss about 4 days before I was automatically fired due to an accumulation of points. Raises were also minimal.

Pros

Great team members and supportive, responsive, genuine team leads.

Cons

Low pay, especially considering stress and workload. No raises in 4 years. Constant write-ups for missing unattainable goals. Changed teams and managers involuntarily about 4 times during my career. Was hired as a lead, but they "reorganized" within a month, and I lost my title and privileges. As soon as I was getting the hang of the work, boom, they switch me to a new team with different work forcing me to relearn, and they wonder why I couldn't meet the goal. Terrible micromanagement, as in "what did you work on", "what are you doing" "why are you doing that" every single day. Only way to meet the goal number is to work 1-2 hours over your shift time off the clock. Health insurance is expensive and doesn't cover anything. Dental insurance won't even fully cover 2 cleanings in a year. Ever seen the show Severance? My girlfriend and I actually talked about how eerily similar the work experience is for this company.
