Pros
Dataiku hires impressive people. I found many intelligent, hardworking, and caring coworkers with diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and cultural differences.
Cons
At first, you will think it's a great place to work, and Dataiku will point to their numerous workplace awards as proof; however, the truth is much different. Dataiku is an employee churn machine; few people stay long because of poor management and lack of trust. There are many growth opportunities, but unfortunately, how one might progress up the ladder is undefined. Career development depends on which cliques you're in, like high school. Merrit or ability are not factors in those that rise. Your manager is unlikely to be qualified to manage you. In my observations, those that got promotions were inexperienced and lacked leadership skills. No training programs exist to develop future leaders. When problems arise, do not expect your manager to be there to support or guide you. Your manager will likely view your problem as a distraction to their day and judge you poorly. A bad manager is the #1 reason people leave, and Dataiku has many. Everyone's experiences may vary; however, this is a common theme in the Dataiku US organization. Had I known, I would have passed on working there. Consider other options before working at Dataiku.
