Hi, many thanks for taking time to write a review of your employment with Darwin Escapes - I'm sorry to hear it has not been a positive experience for you. I'm glad you could see the value in being able to use the parks across our brand for short stays and hope you'll continue to consider us for vacations in future. Your advice is insightful, and will certainly be taken under consideration as we don't want anyone in the business to feel like they are not valued. Pros

I love working for Darwin. The team based at Thanet well are the best bunch of people I've ever worked alongside. I have full support from all my colleagues and there's nothing we can't sort. Company benefits including dental care and eye care are amazing! I regularly use company benefits to make my finances a lot easier to manage. The management teams across darwin are very supportive to other sites. I've had so many opportunities to get further qualifications and experience things I never thought I would. We have people from all over the country working at our park and we all bounce off each other so well.

Cons

Driving in the winter is terrifying as I have to drive country roads which aren't gritted and it's pitch black countryside.

Creating a positive environment where colleagues can work together, support one another and continue to develop is incredibly important to us, so it's wonderful to hear this reflected in your experience. We're also pleased that you've been able to make the most of our colleague benefits and development opportunities, and that you've felt supported not only by your local team but by colleagues across the wider business. We appreciate your comments regarding winter travel. While we can't control the weather or local road conditions, we understand the additional challenges this can bring and are grateful for the commitment shown by our teams during the winter months. Pros

Joining Darwin Escapes in September 2025 during a period of significant change has been an incredibly positive and rewarding experience. Starting at a time when the business was going through a major transition meant the first six months were challenging, but in a really constructive way. It gave me the opportunity to learn quickly, take on responsibility, and make a genuine impact from the start. During this time, I’ve been able to implement a number of positive changes within the payroll function and continue developing my skills within my career. Being promoted from Payroll Manager to Head of Payroll in such a short space of time has been a huge achievement for me, and it really shows how much the company supports growth and recognises hard work. There is also so much room for development here. The People and Culture team are all genuinely lovely and extremely supportive they really want to help not just individuals, but the wider business as well. That support has made a big difference during such a fastpaced period of change. Overall, it’s been a challenging but very positive first six months. I’ve grown a lot both professionally and personally, and I’m really excited to continue developing my career with Darwin Escapes.

Cons

The period of change can be fast paced and sometimes challenging, but it also creates opportunities to learn and improve
