Pros

I've had the pleasure of working for The Darren Sugiyama Companies, under the Davinci Financial branch, for 2 plus years. Darren has a unique office environment that creates a fun, but hard working atmosphere. The company has great mentorship program that will teach you as much as you're willing to learn. Everyone works hard to reach their goals, including the senior management. If you're willing to earn your way to the top, this is a good company to start with.

Cons

Like any business, it's difficult in the first year or 2 due to the learning curve and obtaining clients. If you don't ask questions, you won't get noticed. Expect to spend a lot of time out of the office learning about the company and industry knowledge. Senior management personnel are often busy, so it can be difficult in getting questions answered.

Pros

While I was recruited by a couple of the large, well-known firms; I looked into DaVinci Financial Insurance & Associates as a means of a comparison to the large companies. Unlike the standard corporate indoctrination, Darren Sugiyama met with a few candidates to determine who was a fit for his organization. Unlike the standard firm, Darren provides insights as to how DaVinci addresses the needs of clients with a level fo integrity and expertise -- providing information that helps clients see why one product offers them advantages over another. DaVinci operates in an environment that feeds an entrepreneurial spirit - helping you learn the business through case studies and examples of how various products provide solutions that address a variety of financial needs. When I was considering Davinci in comparison to another large insurance company, Darren advised me that I would learn much more working with him in 90 days than I would in two years with any other firm... and he was absolutely right. If you are a self-starter with a goal of building a career in an entrepreneurial environment, and you want to learn how insurance products help clients achieve their financial goals with honest, non-biased assessments and recommendations, then working with Darren at DaVinci Financial is a good move to make.

Cons

Working at DaVinci requires a self-starter mentality. This is not to say that you won't receive training, insights and direction, but it is to say that if you don't take this on as part of your personal commitment to your career, you may not be successful. If you are looking for a position that has a supervisor that will monitor all that you do to ensure that you do the work that is necessary for success, then DaVinci may not be the place for you. Compensation is driven by results and if you are used to trading your time for a salary, then DaVinci isn't a good fit. DaVinci provides the foundation for success... but it is up to the individual to apply the knowledge, tools and effort to create a successful career at DaVinci.

Pros

I looked for advice from Darren when I felt as though I had reached a point where my career was fragile and lacked infrastructure. I made the decision to start building my career around the principals and philosophies of what Darren teaches. This change alone has made a dramatic impact on my business and clientele. Making that connection to Darren was probably the most important thing I did for myself.

Cons

I really don't have many cons to address. I feel most people want to put a black mark against Darren because what he teaches require a person to work incredibly hard and most people simply don't want to do that. Everything Darren teaches is system driven and designed to be duplicated by any person.
