Pros
I worked with a wonderful team that made each day a bit easier. It was fulfilling to make an impact with care for a challenging patient population.
Cons
I was part of the post acute/skilled nursing “start up” and it was a mess. The role I was in had zero definition, no training, minimal support (the senior GM offered to come out and train me if I planned the whole thing…how would I do that??), and ultimately they eliminated the role on the claim of too much travel expenses. So they replaced it with fewer of a slightly different role with higher travel expectations, seems illogical. But that’s how the SNF team is run, illogically in whatever direction the general manager wakes up feeling like he would like to go. Cherry on top, even though I was part of a role elimination they blacklisted me so I was unable to get another role at the company. Pay remains inline with DaVita as a whole, it’s below industry and not balanced with the work load. The culture is weird. Parts of it are great, others plain off putting. Things like requiring adults to share hotel rooms, no one needs to get that kind of up close and personal with their coworkers. Ever.
