Pros

For Pct's, Lpn's and administrative assistants there are good promotional opportunities. Poor clinical tract opportunities for social workers. There are the advantages of a large company benefit package, but these are decreasing with each year.

Cons

Not treated with respect, clinical value of social workers not rewarded. Extra Shifts 3rd and nocturnal programs added without any additional compensation. Salary is taken as a license for high case loads. Highly stressful with many unneeded financial, insurance and clerical duties, prevent delivery of good social work pt. care

Pros

Stable company to work for with great benefits. DaVita offers tuition reimbursement, so it pays to go back to school and get a degree. They also help with career advancement and development.

Cons

If you are new to dialysis, it may take a while to reach a decent wage. You are required to work 12 hour shifts, mostly on your feet, and managers will always look to add to your workload.

Pros

Management supports a work-life balance, hours are flexible, okay benefits. Good training opportunities and there is effort by management to support a good work culture. 6 weeks at 80% of pay Paternity/Maternity & Adoption leave. 401K with 6% matching. For 2 adults, we pay for Davita's Anthem BCBS healthcare plan and it is $350/month (4,700 deductible).

Cons

Payscale isn't aggressive - 1% raise each year. You also may be asked to cover other clinics temporarily without fair compensation for the extra workload.
