Pros
Great co-workers, most who embraced the concept of "team".
Cons
It's all about the numbers. Sad, but true, it really isn't about what's best for the patient...it's about doing anything that makes the "numbers" (lab values, access rates, catheter rates, %signed up for Davita Rx) look good. We are hounding and harassing patients every day instead of steadily teaching, exploring reasons for non-compliance and encouraging them. Point-of-care staff are constantly criticized. Can't do enough. High staff turnover and no experience in the clinic. Too many responsibilities and not enough time to complete work accurately. HIGHLY outdated computer systems that don't even share data. Underhanded methods of getting rid of higher-paid/experienced point-of-care staff. Pretty obvious that this company is run by bean-counters and not folks with degrees/experience in healthcare.
