Pros

Got along well with the majority of people within digital and some of the wider company. Some great people there.

Cons

We were told once by our director “if you don’t like overtime this isn’t the place for you”. This was said after many members of the digital team raised concerns over working 12/14 hour days (sometimes 7 days a week) for months on end. There was time off in lieu, but often with so many time sensitive projects on you could never get the time off when you needed it. People in the department including myself became drained, tired, depressed, overworked and worse yet the senior leadership team under the surface just did not care. Nothing changed. Ultimately the pay and the affect on work/life balance + the attitude of senior staff made staying absolutely pointless. I managed to find a role where my pay doubled and I work within set hours (9/5) it’s still within a thriving and interesting business, and overtime is a rarity at best.

Pros

Its an exciting, fast paced place to work. There are many talented and passionate people here. The variety of work you get exposed to is unlike anything I've experienced at other agencies. Because everything is done in-house, you get to be involved in large scale live event productions, film projects, work with the design team on campaigns and digital projects. You really get the full picture. There's a genuine sense that people are invested in and there are real opportunities to grow if you put the work in. The site at Hartlebury is impressive too, it's a fun place to come into work and you get to see some really creative stuff happening around you every day.

Cons

It can be full-on. The workload can be heavy at times and when multiple projects are running simultaneously the juggling act is real. Deadlines are tight and clients can be demanding (but i don't thinks that's just an issue at this agency that's the industry we are in), so if you're not naturally organised it can feel a lot. Some processes could be slicker internally, but its acknowledged and the business is always open to feedback on ways to make things work smoother.
