You get a chance to experience working in a typical SME environment, whilst having a lot of cross interaction with international counterparts from the parent company. A super fast paced environment (if you like it as such) with the chance to meet/network with business owners and all stripes of people!
Cons
Departments do need to communicate with each other more. The integration with the parent company has also brought along a lot of uncertainty and unpolished processes that we are trying to adopt/assimilate into our own way of doing things. A lot of adjusting involved that adds on to the already high workload.
Very loyal employees with some more than 20 years of experience working for the company. Good name in the market.
Cons
A shade of its formal self now after numerous changes of leadership. Low morale due to numerous departures of staff and management indifference. Loss of confidence and name in Singapore after closing two comapnies.
