Pros
* DMC truly cares about its employees. With regular meetings involving the entire company, constant encouragement to provide feedback, and a system in place to support you, you'll quickly figure out what's going on and be able to have a voice at the company. Most changes in the company are initiated by regular employees. * DMC offers an activity fund. Each month, every office gets a stipend to do whatever the office wants to do, as long as it's legal and everyone is invited. Escape rooms, movie nights, happy hours, fancy dinners, and even beer miles are all included. This helps build comradery in the office and is a great way to get close to your coworkers. * DMC does a great job hiring smart people. The bar is high, but you're surrounded by smart, caring people. You'll always be able to get help. * It's a fast-paced job. You'll likely be involved in multiple projects at the same time, so be ready to learn fast and be an expert in multiple industries. * Great opportunities for travel (see con).
Cons
* This is a consulting job. You will deal with clients directly, be heavily involved in the sales process, write proposals, take heat from clients when things don't go right, and you will travel onsite to clients' offices/factories/laboratories/facilities. This might be a good thing (see pro)! However, the balance between who goes onsite and who doesn't can sometimes seem unfair. Also, don't be surprised if you're required to live in a hotel for weeks to months at a time. You need to be ready and willing to put your life on hold for long periods of time, often working very long hours, weekends included. This type of schedule works very well for some, but it's important to know your limits. * The average tenure seems to be about 3 - 4 years. As much as management cares about their employees, sometimes it seems that they forgot how overwhelming onsite trips can be for recent college graduates. * In some locations, pay and benefits are below average.
