Pros

Friendly during the interview process.

Cons

Applied for a role, got offered the role, signed and dated the contract from both my side and DLRC's side, 3 weeks before I was due to start having handed in my notice with my other company, DLRC withdrew the contract stating 'third party budget issues' despite myself asking these questions during the interview regarding budget and clients. Having requested me to demonstrate their 'values' during the interview process, unfortunately their own values are not upheld and have now left me unemployed. Would not apply here again. I had also recommended this place to my colleagues and they state having negative experiences during the beginning of the recruitment process. Also offered me 5k less that what I had originally asked for and had minimal contact with me during my notice period.

We are extremely sorry that you have not been able to join us, but as I’m sure you’re aware (your previous company has laid people off recently) there is no certainty in the service sector and, having not successfully secured the expected work to keep you employed, we made this very hard decision to protect the current business. The impact of Brexit, pandemic, inflation and high interest rates have had an impact globally this year. I am acutely aware of the impact of our decision on you personally and we appreciate that, while paying you a notice period doesn’t fully compensate you, we hope it goes someway to helping in this difficult situation. I am disappointed to hear that you felt the decision was not executed with kindness and would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further, however, I think if we had allowed you to join the company and then asked you to leave during probation that would have wasted your time and demonstrated less integrity. I have followed up with our recruitment manager and understand that he did contact you several times during your notice period, so again, would be interested to understand how we could improve this process. Finally we all wish you success in securing an alternative position quickly.

Pros

Dynamic working environment with a variety of opportunities, working with different clients on different project types. A great place for those new to the environment to learn more about and gain experience within the regulatory landscape. Flexible working hours with fully remote/hybrid working ability. The company also supports working abroad for a selected number of days throughout the year, allowing for increased travel opportunities. Friendly and collaborative team - working with people who genuinely care about delivering the best work to clients, keeping patients in mind always. Strong focus on ESG and wellbeing, involved with several charities.

Cons

As a consultancy, the workload can vary but there are always different activities to be involved in.
