Pros

Great technology and people. Fast paced and constantly changing. Always looking to be competitive on salary & benefits. Good work/life balance. Remote work available. Able to work independently without micro-management from the top (as long as you contribute to company). You set your own destiny/success. Great future outlook.

Cons

More stable and sustainable goals. Not too jerky and reactive to people decisions based on not meeting quarterly revenue target, leading to uncertainty and low morale. This is pretty common in small to mid size companies, but should strive to go beyond the norm to establish competitive advantage. Overall, despite all this, I still really miss coming to work at DDN and would return in a heartbeat. It’s tough out there and didn’t know how good I had it until I left and can see this in practice. No company is perfect and all have some semblance of things to work on. It’s just finding the fit which I realize now that DDN was it for me.

Pros

There WERE great people who worked there. But wow, they are dropping like flies. “Unlimited” PTO

Cons

Benefits are weak, pay is way below industry for engineers. Leadership is literally ripping out entire departments from the top down.A VP is fired, the new person starts, the new person fires the entire team and replaces it with their own people. A person will be let go and days later the replacement will start. It has impacted so many departments and isn’t stopping any time soon. I’ve already seen it happen in Product/engineering, Finance, HR, Recruiting and other outlying departments. Most people I’m aware of are actively looking because they know the goal is to basically rebuild the company with all new people. It’s chaotic, it’s toxic, RUN!
