Pros
Some prestigious projects and well respected engineers within the company that are a wealth of information.
Benefits (excluding salary) are of a good level and increase with duration of employment - additional holiday, pension contribution and healthcare options available
Stable company with long term sustainability due to high number of incoming projects.
Cons
Level of output expected compared to the salary provided is unbalanced.
Annual salary increases did not match rate of inflation. Real terms paycut after several years.
No overtime possible despite lack of sufficient engineers/technicians to complete tasks on time without exceeding contracted hours.
Revolving door of poor quality engineers hired without due diligence of capability, leading to more work reviewing and amending delegated tasks than is gained by delegation.
Limited scope for career advancement, when positions have been available the decisions for selection are opaque and seemingly based on DEI initiatives rather than on meritocratic values or value added to the company.
Pigeonholed into one type of project.
Professed company culture does not tally with lived experience
High number of middle management positions without justification.
