Pros
There is a clear mismatch between what the company expects from employees and what the company gives back in return. Employees are expected to be loyal, flexible, and understanding when the company faces difficulties, but when it comes to compensation, benefits, recognition, or career growth, there is very little being offered. The internal culture is also very political. Communication can be unclear, decisions change frequently, and employees may feel they need to be very careful with how they speak or respond. Instead of building trust and transparency, the environment can feel stressful, unfair, and emotionally draining.
Cons
Overall, the experience has been extremely disappointing. Employees are expected to work hard, stay committed, and support the company through difficult periods, but the company does not appear to provide the same level of commitment back to its employees. Salary was not always paid on time, which created unnecessary stress and uncertainty for staff. This is one of the most basic responsibilities of an employer, and when it is not handled properly, it seriously affects trust and morale. There were also expectations around ESOP or share-related benefits, but these were not paid out or properly honoured. On top of that, annual leave was reduced, there was no increment, no bonus, and no meaningful recognition for the employees who continued to support the company through challenging times. What makes it more disappointing is seeing the company hire so-called “talents” or senior people who do not seem to bring measurable sales results or real contribution. Some appear to rely more on name-dropping, background, or titles rather than actual performance. Meanwhile, existing employees who have been doing the actual operational work and carrying the company through difficult periods are not properly valued.
