Pros
-Great coworkers. Most people are very friendly and a pleasure to work with - Fun and interesting projects
Cons
It’s sad to see what became of this place. The biggest con is how management constantly overworks everyone while simultaneously stripping away benefits: - No flexibility. Originally it was 3 WFH days, then 2, then 2 WFH days but they could only be used Wednesday and Friday. Finally it dropped to just Friday WFH. - There use to be multiple outings but now it’s down to just a few times a year. There isn’t even a happy hour every now and then. The company blames “insurance”. I think they’re just being cheap. -Removed extra PTO days for the summer. There use to be 3 bonus summer PTO days you could use June to August. - Originally if you worked 40 hours before noon on Friday, you could sign off early. Not any more. Miami for whatever reason is exempt - Salaries are so low. I was lowballed when I started but it was covid time so I didn’t have a choice. When I went to a new firm, I got a 12k pay raise. Same position, same responsibilities -No bonus my last 2 years there. Before that my bonus for the year was $500 pretax, which was laughable - Project budgets are managed poorly. How is EVERY project over budget? -Bonuses, raises, and salaries are so low because they sponsor a race car. Management says it’s good for “business development” and it “brings in projects”. -Most PMs are great! However there are 2 that will breathe down your neck every minute you are at work (and outside of work). -CEO has very little office presence despite demanding staff to be in office full time. The long and short of it is: this company is too cheap to care about you. Upper management cares more about lining their pockets than taking care of their employees despite claiming they’re “family”. The bottom line is far more important than the employees.
