Pros
Credit Sesame gives those that are willing to put in the work for substantial career growth. It isn't for everyone! If you're someone who is a clock-puncher, move along. The opportunities to put a footprint in the sand and work on meaningful projects with purpose are here. It would be best if you were agile. Embrace change with optimism. Take on challenges head-on. Stay positive even when negativity is present. Be confident yet humble. And I couldn't stress more, be a self-starter AND manage your work/life balance. Managing this is probably one of the most challenging tasks to do, considering you want to deliver successful work while rightfully enjoying life. These are all characteristics that I find in my colleagues. Deciding to work at Credit Sesame is one of my best career moves, but I was well prepared to know what I was getting myself into accepting a company that is still in a startup mentality. Please do your research, but I fully endorse Credit Sesame as a great place to work.
Cons
Fast-paced, not enough onboarding time. I'm personally invested in educating non-creative professionals—time and "creative-freedom" need to be prominently structured for the best work to shine through. 401k plan is nonexistent. Even with stock options, this was a huge mark against accepting the position.
