Pros
Great kids go through Creative Action and lots of very talented, lovely people have worked here.
Cons
Insecure, cliquey leadership that prioritizes employees with theater backgrounds and their friendships. Lots of inappropriate favoritism going on here. When lower-level employees call out poor or inappropriate behavior, leadership is not checked or investigated. Upper management is cowardly and passive when it comes to having tough conversations (especially when their friends in the company are being toxic). You will be asked to do things outside of your job description without fair compensation. I once heard a higher-up talk about how great it was that someone could do two jobs for the price of one -- it was cringe that this "social justice" organization could not see how exploitative that is. They will 10000% take advantage of your skills and will try to manipulate and guilt you to do more. Some of these folks have a narcissistic, insecure savior complex that keeps them from being able to have normal, professional conversations about tangible ways to improve the company. Behavior seems performative rather than genuine. Lots of changing directives without acknowledgement of poor initial direction. Upper management has a very big fear of being seen as incompetent. Lower-level employees suffer because of this fear.
