Pros
I've had an incredible experience working at Craft. Definitely the best work culture I've experienced: the team feels supportive, welcoming, and really high-caliber (top educations/employer logos and very insightful). Work-life balance is well respected at the SF office and it's a team who I have genuinely become friends with. Craft has been around a while and, as with all startups, experienced a recent pivot after getting more data on where its market fit is. It is clear the largest buy-in from customers is with the federal government agencies so the company focus has shifted to prioritize that rather than boiling the ocean and expending limited team resources on commercial enterprises with contracts a small fraction of the size and slow to ramp up spend. It seems that company is hitting an inflection point with this new focus both on the product and GTM side. There is a rapid pace of roadmap development with some really exciting revamps with AI. The government contracts are negotiating substantial expansions which is proof that there is product-market-fit with the government with a critical use case which is exciting. It's a really exciting time to join and I am hopeful for the future of Craft.
Cons
Recent pivot led to company downsizing. Has taken a long time and many pivots to find product-market fit, but recent developments with federal government seem to show an exciting and stable direction.
