Pros

- Great Scrum teams who are constantly evolving - Great work life balance with less weekly work hours compared to the industry standard - Good opportunities to move up or around - Flexible hours (easy to take time off for appointments and such) - Stable environment with industry standard processes in place - Fun workload with many concurrent projects for the various products Cowan offers - Currently modernizing some older tech which is great exposure and really exciting to be a part of and lead - If you want to lead and truly own something then you are absolutely encouraged to do so. This is the best way to evolve the team!

Cons

- People will have to wear multiple hats at times as the team is still growing and settling in - Business still has yet to decide on the product vision which can lead to confusion for the development team - At the time of writing this review, the team size is still too small for the number of products being maintained causing us to be in a constant prioritization mindset (I anticipate this will improve moving forward)

Pros

Decent starting place in the industry. If you have an interest in something specific most managers will encourage you to progress and learn. Very good training program. Friendly peers.

Cons

Low pay for industry standard. Out of touch executive leadership. Abysmal behavior from human resources. Lack of diversity. Expensive benefits despite being a facilitator of group health insurance benefits. Nepotism in the workplace.
