Pros

Some good people work here.

Cons

The County Connection does not pay social security taxes. So employees cannot contribute to their social security retirements. Due to traffic you're not guaranteed brakes during your runs. Management protects employees who they are friends with. Favoritism is standard at The County Connection. The Union agrees to deals with management that effect drivers working conditions without opening it up to a Driver Union vote. The Union does not disclose how they spend Union dues.

Pros

Fair Pay (Train for 7 weeks if you don't hold a CDL Class B at $17.80, then 5 pay steps at $21.90; $23.27; $24.64; $26.01 and $27.38). Benefits are good. Lots of overtime.

Cons

Full timers start with split shifts (3 to 5 hour splits). You'll be looked at favorably if you sign up for extra work on weekly basis. If you don't sign up, supervisors will view you as a non-team player. Company depends on operators working overtime.
