Pros
For me, effective culture is essential to the success and organisational alignment of colleagues to the vision and strategy of any business, and it is a significant factor in my choice of employer. I joined Core in 2021 and from the moment of application, through my onboarding and into my day-to-day work, I have felt connected to Core and know that I am an important part of the team. I understand the value of my contribution and receive ongoing recognition for my work. This recognition is an ingrained routine at Core; we celebrate our teamwork, our efforts, our accomplishments and our hard work. I especially enjoy the company-wide Friday shoutout calls we have, which celebrate colleague contribution, no matter how small. Part of the caring culture is a strong work-life-balance. This is evident in the stellar work of our social committee, who organise fantastic events for us all to take part in. Saying all that, I think the most significant thing that impresses me, however, is that everything I’ve said above is clearly so important and driven down from the leadership team. In my experience, culture is often created in pockets within an organisation; self-curated within individual teams. At Core, I truly feel the culture and care from the very top. I know that the company wants to take care of me. I know that it is not bluster. That is a very unique feeling, and I cannot advocate strongly enough for Core. I am proud to be an ambassador for our company.
