The company went downhill after announcing the merger of Hotjar and Heap, which destroyed the company culture across all three companies and led to massive layoffs and a complete restructuring.
While layoffs are sometimes unavoidable, management's approach was harsh and unfair to current employees. In Germany, many irregular layoffs required legal action (as far as I know, the company has been sued about 8 times, with more cases to come). Management misled employees about the supposed benefits of new roles, treating people dismissively and expecting blind trust, even after firing half the team. HR was unhelpful during the layoffs and instead focused on matters that were irrelevant, showing little concern for those losing their jobs.
Be cautious about the German team's direction, as it is being managed by people in Amsterdam with lack of feelings who play favorites and promote only those loyal to them.
