Pros

Store managers are mostly cool. Easy (if sometimes gross and unsanitary) work. It's a beer store.

Cons

No breaks. There were times when I was the only employee working the front of the store and had to run back and forth between bottle returns, the cash register, and retrieving products for customers for hours. Not to mention 10+ hour shifts with no lunch break. You have to stuff food into your face in between handling filthy empty bottles and working the cash register. If upper management and/or a supervisor happen to be in the store, they'll yell at you for eating in front of customers, despite the fact that you have no choice since you don't get a break. You'll constantly cut your hands on broken glass in the bottle return area. You'll probably also get tiny pieces of glass in your eyes because the boxes you have to put bottles in are all full of the remnants of smashed bottles. There's a good chance you won't be able to find any hand sanitizer or a band-aid before you have to handle some more disgusting, dripping, maggot-filled bottles from the next customer. No raises unless you work there for years, in which case you might get a $0.25/hour raise. No employee discounts.
