Pros
Good working relationships with fellow technicians on the floor.
Cons
I spent over four years at this company, and while I initially enjoyed the work, the environment became increasingly untenable due to a management culture that prioritizes personal social "cliques" over professional output. The Main Issues: * Targeted Performance Reviews: Despite four years of meeting all deadlines and maintaining high standards as a senior staff member, I was suddenly subjected to a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) with no objective justification. It became clear that this was not about performance, but an attempt to force a resignation through excessive nitpicking and constant monitoring. * Toxic Management "Clique": Promotions and training (such as the long-delayed pH robot/Analyst training) are seemingly reserved for those who participate in specific social activities outside of work. If you do not fit the "inner circle" or if you speak out against unfair work distribution—like the Prep team being used as a "dumping ground" for other departments—you will be marginalized. * Unprofessional Conduct & Harassment: I witnessed and experienced instances where certain "favoured" staff were allowed to speak aggressively and insult colleagues without consequence. When I stood up for myself, I was the one penalized, while the aggressor faced no action because of their social standing with management. * Neglect of Mental Health: Despite raising concerns about my mental well-being during a stressful period involving a pregnancy at home, management showed zero empathy. My concerns were ignored, contributing to a hostile work environment. * Broken Promises: Progression is often dangled as a carrot but never delivered. I was promised training and level-ups that were delayed for months with vague excuses, only to be hit with a PIP the moment I questioned the timeline. Verdict: If you value your mental health and want to be judged on your work rather than your social life, look elsewhere. This company chews up experienced staff and spits them out when they no longer fit the "agenda." A deeply disappointing end to a long tenure.
