Pros
Compensation is substantial. If you’re competent at performing very simple phone calls, and logging those phone calls, hit your quota- you’ll get consistent bonuses monthly.
Cons
The “politics” of this place are sickening. Owners and management hire family members and place them in positions that they are not qualified for. Including positions that require someone to be properly qualified... like HUMAN RESOURCES. (Luckily, this has since been mended.) Punctuality is important. That’s unarguable. However, life happens. Concept has z e r o understanding. Their attendance policy is ... for lack of a better word ... just ridiculous. A co-worker of mine there was a well-to-do middle aged woman, extremely intelligent, frankly highly over qualified to be a mere telemarketer, dressed for success (far past what this place deserved), put her heart and soul and passion into her position. “Life” happened to her in a year’s time, car troubles, weather, death of family members, doctor’s appointments, flu.. all completely understandable things that happened throughout a year’s time. However, due to “life”, she fell outside of what Concept considered to be “acceptable” for attendance. They boast the possibility of getting $2.00 raise each year. There are 4 key factors, each worth $0.50. She lost $0.50 of that $2.00 when it was time for her review for her raise. I’ve never met a harder worker or a more dedicated employee in my LIFE. She was shattered by it. They micro-manage and take the situation way too seriously. The “situation” being that they run a cubicle-farm for telemarketers. These people get hung-up on and chewed out all day on the phone, all while having VERY short leashes and having “superiors” that are extremely incompetent and at many times downright patronizing and disrespectful.
