Pros
Good place to learn and prove yourself that you can do a lot with very little. The challenge is good for your spirit but don't expect anything else in return. A company with a 'can do' attitude that can become a big player once they retire the upper Corp. managers that have been there too long. A great place to learn the ancient art of being cheap to the bone.
Cons
Top Management is outdated and ready to throw anybody under the bus for as long as they think they can make a penny out of it or they can avoid fault. You're only right when you agree with them after the fact; don't come up with your own ideas, specially if they will expose the manager as not knowing it all. Don't expect any recognition unless you are the VP's lap dog. The company much rather let go a great contributor than put the old looking guy in his place. You need to break your spirit and work for a pay check only if you want to last. Keeping a low profile is the only way to survive unless you're willing to worship a VP and pretend that he is the oracle that will guide the company into the future.
