Pros

I've worked at Comtec through some very challenging periods and have also seen the business transform significantly over recent years. (Past year being full time) Some of the older reviews reflect a time when the company was dealing with internal disruption from a ex-company director and a lack of clear leadership direction. That period is firmly behind us. Since 2023 in particular, the business has stabilised, communication has improved, and there is a far clearer sense of purpose and accountability. From my own experience, the culture today is far more positive and collaborative. Decision-making is clearer, teams are aligned, and there is genuine momentum across the business. We're winning better-quality work, investing more carefully, and focusing on long-term client relationsh ather than short-term fixes. Like any growing SME, Comtec isn't perfect and it's not a corporate environment with endless layers or guaranteed progression paths. However, if you want real responsibility, visibility, and the chance to influence outcomes, it's now a very different place to what some historic reviews suggest. I would strongly encourage anyone considering the company to focus on recent feedback and, more importantly, to speak directly with the team to understand where the business is today rather than where it once was.

Cons

As with any private company there is not an endless supply of investment which could be a benefit to those in a PLC
