Pros

The pay was above average but when you are beat up each and every day, are the few extra dollars worth it...

Cons

Toxicity at its finest. I've never worked at a more insufferable, dysfunctional, delusional company in my life. Let's go through some detail. First, if you are considering working here, STOP and look at the stock price. Make sure to zoom out over time and look at the beautiful and continuous decline. That tells the story right there. Leadership is failing this company, because there is no leadership. There is lip service, but no action. They actually forced out or laid off the few brilliant minds who were trying to make a difference and change the company for the better. Comscore simply likes maintaining the status quo of utter failure. Culture - not only is there no culture, but there is negative culture. If you don't gel with a couple of senior folks, you are gone. In the tri-state area, it was all remote life; no going into the office, just no culture. If you did go into the office, you were practically alone in a very beige, cold, and boring space. And no coffee or amenities to speak of. When I did ask about holding actual culture building events, I was told NO, and that we have to remain focused on our jobs. Mean Girls - The saddest thing for me is that most people were mean, or just pure evil. Like, we aren't sending rockets to the moon or responsible for human life, you can smile and be cordial, you can work with me and collaborate, but no. Every one is just mean and bitter to each other and it does have a negative mental effect on you. So I guess there is culture, the "we are going to treat you like garbage" kind. And that culture turns normal people into monsters. Google "180 Degree Capital Corp. and Comscore" - Here, you can read about one of Comscore's largest shareholders just taking them to town for overpaying executives and board members while making large business mistake after large business mistake. So if you don't want to take my word for it, go read those open letters. My back is still healing from all of the stab wounds suffered. But like "Lefty" from Donnie Brasco said, "When they send for you, you go in alive, you come out dead, and it's your best friend that does it". And in the end, that is exactly what happened to me. I was built up, propped up, told I was part of the future, and then out of nowhere - BANG - the same person who was just building me up (to my face), was the one who put the bullet in my back. The person couldn't even look me in the eye at the end. Cowardice. I also had someone who I viewed as a mentor there, someone I had known for several years who offered me great counsel over the years. That person never reached out after my lay-off. And that truly hurt. But the way I see it, if Comscore is in your blood, you might as well be addicted to heroin. You'll lie, cheat, and steal for your own benefit, while shutting out the ones around you who actually liked you.
