Work-life balance hampered by poor management support - Accountant Comprehensive Life Resources Employee Review

Pros

Hybrid role created a nice work life balance.

Cons

The Account Manager wasn't organized or available to support our accounting team. What I witnessed while there was awful. The manager failed to properly train a"new hire" which was a Account Supervisor. She spent only a few hours mentoring her within a couple of months. Then placed high expectations on the Supervisor, including a list of unresolved problems, that existed at least a year prior to her hire date. The problems she was assigned to address, unresolved would possibly hinder federal state funding. Somehow with minimal direction she was still able to resolve escalated urgent matters. Due to our managers closed door policy and taking off early 3-5 days a week, besides our weekly team meeting, the atmosphere was always stressed, because of the lack of support. I felt sorry for the new Supervisor, because of the horrific onboarding, she didn't get a fair chance to show case her talents and eventually thoroughly support the team. Not sure if the Manager or Supervisor is still there or not, because I left for another opportunity.
