i had like seven bosses, it was a mess, if they need to tell you something they will all walk up to you to tell you the exact same thing throughout the day, like that one scene from office space i cannot make this up its like a seinfeld bit. sometimes you get conflicting instructions from different managers and you have to update each and every one of them on what you're doing and why you're doing thing X instead of thing Y or Z,
one time i asked one of them if i could do a specific task to help out, the response was a thankful approval, i do that task and then i get chewed out by another manager for not seeking approval from her, even though what i did was universally helpful for management no matter what way you look at it.
she was really awful to me the entire time i worked there, like she would not interact with my at all unless she could chew me out for something or instruct me to do something that wasnt related to my role. i could go on forever and ever about how awful management was. the entire time i worked there ive only seen 2 of them do any actual work consistently.
when i was initially hired, i was actually interviewed for a entirely separate role, i was told that id be hired for a specific role that pays around 65k per year, but before i could work there i had to work in a entirely seperate role that pays well below the poverty line for around 3 months before i could get hired for that initial role, silly me signed the contract before asking to get that initial promise in writing, and reading the text that says if i quit before a certain amount of time I would have to PAY THE COMPANY for whatever training that was being conducted, which means i was locked into working there for 8 months. during those entire 8 months i was endlessly promised raises, promotions, entirely different roles, etc.
coworkers were awful to me, sometimes i would go out of my way to help them fix something or disassemble something they were stuck with and neglecting my own workload in the progress, instead of thanking me they would talk behind my back about how they were "babysitting" me while they were apparently doing the REAL work. sometimes i would take shorter breaks and leave earlier or show up early and leave earlier, (which i AM allowed to do) i would let one of the managers know or put it in the teams group chat or something but they would always seem to take note of every little thing and report it just so i have to explain why on thursday i left half an hour earlier than usual to the line of managers that feel the need to know.
tldr anything they promise you that isnt in your contract is a lie, if theyre offering you a job some other company will offer you more money for the same work and you probably wont have to answer to seven managers and condescending coworkers that seem to be superior to you
