Too much stress. Not enough pay. - Family Based Therapist Community Services Group (CSG) Employee Review

Pros

Decent baseline PTO Making a difference Amazing clinical experience for beginning therapists Excellent training with the state trainers

Cons

Will lose PTO if you don't make your billable even if there are things wildly out of your control to the point where you debate risking your life driving out in unsafe winter conditions, management is more concerned about the profit you're bringing in than you or the needs of the families you work with, the paperwork is far beyond any job you have ever done and they expect more paperwork than is actually required because management doesn't understand the requirements (people go to other companies to work in family based and don't have near the paperwork), if management likes you, you can do no wrong, the moment you are too vocal about what needs fixed, they comb through your paperwork to nit-pick every detail and then fire you, basically they set you up for failure and you're so worried about all their nonsense you can barely do the real work with the families. Stress. The whole job is stress. You barely get a raise. They say they're a large company so you'd think they'd have a lot of upward mobility - wrong.

Pros

The leadership and team genuinely care about both employees and the people we serve. There are plenty of training opportunities, mentorship, and career advancement paths for those looking to develop their skills. The company invests in EHR systems, Workday, and other platforms to improve efficiency and training. Everyone is collaborative, helpful, and willing to support one another, which makes the work environment positive. While behavioral health can be demanding, CSG understands the importance of flexibility and employee well-being.

Cons

Like many organizations in healthcare and behavioral health, staffing shortages can sometimes be an issue.
