Pros
Can't really think of any. One of two hospitals in the town, and until CHS took, over was the best.
Cons
Have worked at this hospital for 15+ years. Started out as a PCA, then to nursing school, then worked at the hospital in Dothan, Alabama as a nurse for many years. Currently a CRNA at the same hospital. We are being "laid off" so to speak. The Anesthesiology group is being forced to taking us over. The hospital did this with no warning to us. All the benefits we have are gone, sick hours, vacation, everything. Administrations response was we still get a 50% discount in the cafateria. Nice to know our CEO get 17.5 million in bonuses. Nursing pay and staffing are horrible. Patient care is no longer the priority under CHS.
