Cons
When the CIO has to approve the purchase of a battery for a laptop or for a printer to be added at a physicians' office, he is too far in the weeds. Isn't that why you have VPs, Directors, and Managers? Additionally, there is no defined career path and no compensation when promoted to a new position, just more work.
