Pros

- Well-established local beauty brand - Brand clout (plus points if you resonate with its brand values) - Free products/product allowance - Great stepping stone if you want to grow in the FMCG industry - Never dull, never boring

Cons

- Don't bother asking what the culture is; it's a startup—they're still figuring that out for themselves - Don't expect the brand's outward values to trickle into work operations. Business is business, and at the end of the day they sell empowerment and inclusivity exactly as they are: stories - No processes in place (as expected in a startup) - Tight deadlines (Again, no surprise here. Startup culture.) - Expect a lot of triple hatting as necessary, roles lack clear definition - Cross-functional collaborations are always a struggle; Top management fails to deal with departmental siloes that exist - Lack of investment in good leadership—leaders are usually the frontline receiving end of admonition and the first to jump ship - Lack of climate surveying from the bottom up to gain insight on employee attrition rate and remedy it at the source (instead of rely on exit interviews only) - HR is not on your side, it's on upper management's side - Work-life boundaries are continually disrespected to keep the business afloat

What stands out most is the passion everyone brings to the table—whether it's brainstorming fun campaigns, developing high-quality, inclusive products, or engaging with our Peaches (our wonderful community!). Leadership genuinely values our input, and there’s always room for growth, both personally and professionally.
