Pros

is still technically paying us.

Cons

Extremely dismissive, which you can see by the fact that every negative review on Glassdoor received a boilerplate, copied response that was originally written years prior. Cut hours without warning and shifted all full time staff to part time, just in time to change their policy that part timers don't earn vacation hours. Several positions on the floor have been eliminated making the guest experience abysmal. Previously free treats are either missing or are being charged for, again, with overnight changes so the people on the floor have to deal with customers expectations changing suddenly. Officially has barreled out of being a poorly run business to a full on scam, for both workers and customers. They cut paid holidays for onsite staff but kept them at the corporate level, which is just a big middle finger to us. The place is dying.

Pros

Queer friendly staff and management

Cons

You can be one of the hardest workers and main pillars for the flagship onsite location, and the corporate team will gut you and your entire department and won't even make the time to come onsite and deliver the news in person. I personally can't imagine this company plans to stay open beyond 2025 if they decide they no longer need any inventory team on any onsite location despite having multiple store fronts. Despite your hard work in person for the sake of "keeping it equal across all venues", you will be disregarded with a simple decision made from folks too far away from the day to day functions of their venues. The corporate team is consistent on one thing only; their inability to perform the basics of their roles or substantially supporting the onsite staff. The new CEO refuses to get acquainted with any of the staff members onsite, and the onsite team continues to struggle to keep up with the countless careless decisions by the corporate team. The current NYC staff is currently being asked to sign an agreement on job description changes since the multiple department dissolutions in the past year, which includes additional labor added with no promise of training and with no additional pay.

We have taken time over the last few months to reassess much of the business, which has come with changes big and small. We appreciate your candid and honest feedback - we do not take it lightly. We are working diligently to become the safe and joyful workplace you all deserve. If you would like to provide us with additional feedback, concerns or suggestions - we’d be happy to hear it all.
