Pros
Decent pay. Otherwise, none. Like other reviews, the Color of yonderyear was fantastic. Great pay, amazing benefits, very mission-driven, amazing people. These have all since gone away.
Cons
Execs made some decent choices during COVID and we were rolling in cash. Unfortunately, the key takeaway from this for some of the execs appears to be that they’re amazing and everything they touch turns to gold. But in reality, we just got lucky in being able to serve during a once-in-a-lifetime event. Our execs (1 in particular) thinks that our COVID success was due to their own business brilliance rather than the reality that it was an emergency. There is no company direction. We have pivoted the company a ridiculous amount of times – I can think of at least 4 products we created, tried to sell, failed to sell within a 4-6 month timespan, and then gave up on. Many of the execs, a few specific ones, think they’re smarter than everyone else and can do everyone else’s job better than they can. They have an incredible amount of outsized confidence in themselves. They think they can fix healthcare and that all the people currently working in healthcare are too dumb to know how to fix things. To be fair, I do want to call out that there are a couple execs who I genuinely admire and respect. Unfortunately, they aren’t the ones making the biggest decisions or driving a lot of the company culture. The bad ones are driving this company into the ground. One exec is notorious for disliking employees and having them put on a PIP and out of the company in the span of a few weeks. Finally, I know that we used to be mission driven. In this area, all I’ll say is the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
