Pros
Cold Spring Harbor is one of the leading scientific research facilities in the country and the campus reflects this. Laboratories are beautiful and well cared for, the grounds are well-kept, and the administration makes it a goal to create an atmosphere where science flourishes. The regular meetings and courses make this place an excellent place to work and learn.
Cons
Although the campus is a hub of intellectual activity, the surrounding area is not. Long Island is not for everyone, and the 50 minute train ride to NYC is a bit too long in my opinion.
