Pros

• Some flexibility with timetable, as long as you are 9 hours (or more) in there. • Salary: not particularly high being 1/3 of what you can earn for the same job in other countries but it is double of what I would I have earned in my career at entry level. • Events: for people who likes this kind of things there are a lot of afters, parties and birthdays that are celebrated and the company pays all of it.

Cons

• Productivity is based on number of hours and silly number of cases that do not reflect the real work involved. • Software platforms seem to be from windows 96 despite claiming to be a technological company. • Useless trainings that seem to be a pull in the leg. • Some people treat you bad and unrespectfully just because of hierarchy. This is something pretty common of porteños. I have worked in 1 star places so I can tell the difference. Places that haven't paid me and where I was just a slave for my employers. Among the job opportunities there are here in Argentina, Cognizant is one of the best options. At least, as far as I know. However, taking into account the Argentinian economy, it is evident that I had to choose the best of the worst that regretfully this country has to offer. With this I want to make clear that this is far from being an idyllic job but it is a good place to start.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
