Thank you for taking out your time to submit a review and share your experience. We are glad to hear that you worked with a great team, received good training and felt supported by your manager, as strong leadership and collaboration matter, especially early in a role. We also understand your concerns around limited growth, lack of upward mobility, reduced responsibility and feeling closely monitored. We want our employees to have a positive and trusting experience at work, which is why we run regular surveys where associates can share feedback on management practices, career growth and team culture. These insights are reviewed carefully by our HR team and leadership and are used to improve how opportunities, ownership and support are enabled across teams. Your feedback highlights important aspects that influence motivation and long term engagement. We appreciate you sharing this with us.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
