Pros

Lots of opportunity to learn a lot of different stuff and what is up and coming or very current in the software development world. Plenty of chances to display your skillset and make lasting impressions. It is consulting so if you can make money and have great communication skills you'll be held in high regard and it will show by PMs fighting for your services on their projects. Great work life balance if desired.

Cons

If you over perform too often they may try to give you more project management related tasks. It's a good sign but not all developers have these aspirations. If you are not very good or don't win on projects you could end up forever on the very small projects or benched. Not necessarily a bad thing if you don't view yourself as a sr level resource yet. Quite a huge talent gap between the top tier resources and the great potential early in their career or bad devs.

Pros

A few years back I embarked upon an incredible journey. After 16 years in the field of education I decided it was time for a change. I was excited about the challenges and the opportunities a career away from the classroom would offer. My journey started with Code Authority. I am forever grateful it did. Code Authority provides a work environment that celebrates team work and initiative. One can expect that while in CA’s employ, that employee will be well compensated for hard work delivered, both monetarily and with professional recognition and praise, both privately and publicly amongst peers. The room for growth and advancement is incredible. One is only held back by their own lack of ambition. It is a vastly mobile firm where one can achieve professional elevation to the highest titles. Code Authority offers no dead end placements. Ambitious entry level employees will appreciate the opportunities they will discover.

Cons

The CEO of the firm is very family oriented and has deep roots in community and believes strongly in this “family” feel to be a large part of Code Authorities culture. This is a good thing. For those who have integrity, it is powerful. Often times those lacking in performance and positivity are given chance upon chance to correct their actions, largely due to the above values mentioned that the CEO possesses. This can lead to performance issues and team friction.
