Unfortunately still operating and bullying culture - Post Producer Coda Post Production Employee Review

Lovely team. Lovely clients (mostly). Even senior management were fun at times. There is a pleasant work/fun culture when it comes to grabbing drinks in the office on a Friday afternoon hours before finishing work. When you work late, you get to take a cab home. There are opportunities for progression if you are ALWAYS switched on and work hard and able to stand your ground in a sh*t storm.

Unqualified lickspittle got hired as a mid level manager, who then poisoned the dynamics between staff and senior management using lies. However, the senior management was already semi hostile. They are going through runners like garbage. Even if you make honest mistakes, they will build up a crusade against you to push you out. I don't understand how is this beneficial for the business.

The people are amazing! You will make great friends and make many contacts with the amount of editors and producers who circle through the year.

The salary for a runner isn't great, but you do get paid overtime. You will be expected to work weekends and when it is very busy working 50+ hours a week isn't uncommon. It will take over your life. The boss has quite a terrible temper, and can make working there very miserable. I would recommend keeping your friends close and your enemies closer! I saw many people get bullied out of the company and would't recommend working there.
