Pros
If you’re entry level, this is a great place to start! They take training very seriously and walk you through things step by step. This is also job does not test high volumes of materials, which allows for a low stress job with great work-life balance.
Cons
They train you the same, no matter what level you come in as. So if you come in with 5 years of instrumental experience, you’re still put in training with those without. This made me feel held back and like a waste of time. Additionally, some of the reviewers alter their quality/approach to reviewing depending on the analyst that did the work, blatantly, which led to tensions between the lab and QC. Some employees with little to no experience talk down to others, giving attitude to other, and generally not being a great team member. When brought to leaderships attention, it is mostly ignored because they do a lot for the department.
