Pros
Not a single pro they won’t even give you your pay
Cons
1. During the interview, the CEO was more interested in my family history, my second language and my background (country of origin). He made jokes about how my country was corrupt. There was no official interview question. He kept going in and out of the meeting room attending to other things. Finally he let me know that my pay would be a certain amount which I was very happy about and willing to ignore other red flags as the job market is hard. 2. When I got the offer. There was a verbal agreement made on my pay that it will be reduced upon start but go up to the originally discussed amount after probation. Ofcourse, after probation they all declined ever agreeing to this. 3. You are paid monthly with this company. After I waited a month for my first pay cheque- there was an announcement made that pay won’t be coming on time. This was the day before we were meant to get paid. After waiting a whole month. 4. There is no form of diversity. Everyone is Indian. This made me feel like an outsider as they will discuss with each other in their languages amongst me who does not speak. 5. They will mostly hire their children and only them wins awards. I personally think this should just be a family company as their family members always wins awards even when they never come to the office and when they do come, it’s just to eat. 6. I was referred to as demeaning names and when I reported this I was told ‘this is something you have to live with’ 7. You are called to work on your sick days. Or even when you are on vacation 8. The unprofessionalism in general is honestly outstanding - they should get an award for it. Staff is dirty because there is no expectations set. You’d sit next to someone and hear them burp or coughing very loudly. I’m sure I fell sick because of how careless people were with hygiene. 9. Leadership is clueless about everything. They don’t know where their documents are, they don’t know what certification they need for what. Everything is a guessing game. 10. No form of training. The only training I got was me sitting down next to my coach who should not be a coach. He would just spend time also trying to understand what he is trying to train me about. 11. Working close with the ceo is hell. He throws tasks at you and does not have any regard for your personal time after work hours. Does not take your advice on matters and when things don’t work out due to him not taking advice- he blames you. 12. You can go two months without seeing your colleagues come to the office but the day you don’t come it’s hell. A lot of times I was by myself in the office and told to go home if no one was there. Why can’t there be a structure on making sure others also come or let me just stay home? 13. Your hard work will never go noticed since you are not related to leadership. 14. No team- there is ONE person in charge of finance, ONE HR person and ONE admin. Because of this, everyone ends up doing the task of 10 people. Imagine my surprise when I found out the HR was also IT? The company is laughable and the leadership meetings are a joke. Just a bunch of rowdy talking with people throwing random ideas in the air that will never see the light of day. Some of the ideas spoken about 7 months ago have not even been touched. Lastly I see some people who have given so much for the company who are still not recognized. They have not won awards and are not even on leadership meetings.
