In order to improve my abilities and knowledge, I wish there had been more chances for training and development. It was annoying and demotivating because I frequently felt like I was left to work things out on my own.

We were surprised to read this review because “Optical Assistant” is not a role we’ve ever had at Clear Align, and we have no record of the responsibilities described. That said, we take every comment seriously and use all feedback—regardless of the title listed—to improve our employees’ experience. Training and development remain a priority for us. Great atmosphere and wonderful people. They have a card that covers most insurance costs making our benefits package much more useful.

The facility that I work in is slightly understaffed.

Pros

Getting hired at Clear Align was easy, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with some amazing people. I truly enjoyed the colleagues I worked with.

Cons

At Clear Align, it quickly became "CLEAR" that many of my colleagues shared the same sentiment. I was constantly reminded that I had made a mistake by joining the company, which was unsettling. Though I was only there for a short time, I frequently heard negative comments about the owner and the toxic environment. Whenever I asked for clarification, the response was always the same: 'You'll find out,' accompanied by a knowing smirk. And I did. The owner proved to be extremely difficult to work for. 'Micro-managing' didn’t even begin to describe it. The constant yelling and condescending remarks created a hostile and unprofessional atmosphere. I knew I had to leave. One piece of advice: do not advocate for yourself. Doing so could result in termination or retaliation by the owner.
