Pros

Clinicians do care about their clients

Cons

During my time at he company, there was constant micromanagement and employees were never trusted to make decisions or perform their roles. This created an atmosphere of fear where employees felt undervalued and constantly walked on eggshells. The owner also had little understanding of the day-to-day operations of the company. Decisions were frequently out of touch with the realities of the job, often causing confusion and disruption. This lack of awareness made it impossible to move forward as a team and created inefficiencies that were never addressed. To make matters worse, there were multiple instances that raised concerns about compliance, particularly regarding HIPAA, billing practices, and employee compensation. This blatant disregard for both employee well-being and client rights is deeply concerning. In conclusion, if you value a positive, ethical, and well-managed work environment, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. The owner’s toxic management style, lack of understanding of operations, and questionable ethical standards make this company an unsafe and risky place to work. The challenges at this company made it difficult for employees to thrive, and the overall management and operational practices need major improvement. I encourage you to check out Google reviews and other former employee reviews to get a broader perspective before making any decisions.

Pros

I can not think of any.

Cons

Worked from my personal laptop, which is an enormous HIPAA violation. Many employees are young women (in their 20s) who work completely alone in a psychological care clinic - meaning nobody is in the office space with them, at all. They work solo, face-to-face with patients who have behavioral health problems, and there is not any other staff member in the office wing with them. Of course, patients with behavioral health problems are not usually dangerous, but there were unstable patients at times. I personally encountered unstable patients and no emergency protocol was EVER created, even after unsafe incidents were reported to management. Upper management cares about making money above all else. We used an online time tracking device to record hours, which was notoriously faulty, and we were repeatedly told that “untracked hours would not be paid.” I worked close to a year, full-time (usually 7-10 hour shifts), and did not get lunch breaks (or other 10 minute breaks of any sort). When this concern was brought up to management, they suggested I start working an hour earlier in the day. Very competent employees were fired with less than a day’s notice. There are many other examples I can think of, but hopefully I have provided enough to convince you not to work here. Management will not treat you kindly.
