Pros

I joined in 2020; and work in the Tallinn office. I got an opportunity to move to Europe thanks to this job. Really high paying job; no companies in Estonia beat Clarifai pay. Super flat structure even though there is a hierarchy. My criticism is immediately heard by VP of Engineering to CEO; and my ideas/experiments etc are immediately applied on the stack. Feels great to have this much control and autonomy over the direction of the product and the tech stack. The Estonia office has a very giving and caring culture; we are allowed time off as we need and most importantly are always seen as people with their lives and problems before employees. For me the work life balance is more towards life than work. 3000$ a year training budget (subscriptions to Frontendmasters etc as well as conferences) People get promoted when they do well (including me) Very diverse team in terms of colour and nationality. With gender; I def see HR and Engineering heads try their best to have more diversity but it's limited by most applicants applying for engineering being men.

Cons

When I joined; there was a lot of engineering mismanagement and lack of direction but in my 2 years here I see massive changes. I see that there's massive efforts still being made to make the product decision cycle and releases etc better; and I am hopeful Clarifai will have overcome these growing pains in due time. Another point of criticism would probably be lack of quality internal documentation. (which is also something I see being actively worked on; albeit at a slow pace)

Pros

I enjoyed my time working at Clarifai. Remote work was great, and I liked working with a lot of smart people.

Cons

My only con was not getting to meet everyone in person.

Pros

The jobs are fully remote

Cons

Leadership and CEO have no idea how to run a business. Product has been long surpassed by others in the market and leadership hasn’t kept up investment in either core product or go to market strategy. Constant rolling layoffs as they try to hire and invest to save themselves then fire everyone to stop bleeding money.
