Pros

-Decent starting salary -Benefits effective sooner than most positions -Corporate credit card for gas -Weekly paycheck -Flexible hours, not a lot of in-office time

Cons

-Management is a 'good 'ol boys club' so it is nearly impossible to out someone who is a manager, no matter how incompetent they are -Unfounded favoritism, directed toward sales reps who kiss the most butt. Management encourages brown-nosing and directs favoritism toward reps that are well below their sales quota, as long as they continue to kiss up. -2 words: UNORGANIZED SYSTEMS! Most of the departments do not work well together, almost 100% of the time it feels like we're fighting an internal battle against our own team and co-workers. A lot of issues fall back onto the sales department because other departments do not want to take responsiblity for their own shortcomings. It seems like the motto is 'salespeople make the most money so they should eat the most crap'. - Micromanagement is OUT. OF. CONTROL. During my interview process, I answered a question about why I left a previous position with the answer "I made my quota every month for 3 consecutive years, but continued to be micromanaged, which is extremely frustrating and time consuming". The interviewer proceeded to tell me that if I accepted the position with Cintas, I would not be faced with the same issue. This was a bold faced lie. I continue to make my quota week after week and am micromanaged as if I am a total slacker. EXTREMELY frustrating. -Too much 'pass the buck'. It is never anyones fault that something happened, or that their job wasn't done properly, it is always someone elses fault. This never ceases to amaze me, despite hearing this whiny fingerpointing excuse day after day, week after week. -If you speak out about any of the above, your hand is slapped for being 'negative' even though it is actually being REALISTIC. -Management partners sit in their office all day managing the ridiculous amount of reporting salespeople spend half of their week turning in, then when your manager does come on a sales call they are completely cocky and worthless.

Pros

The Commission is great. You can make good money in this place.

Cons

While the pay is good, the culture here is not. It is incredibly restrictive. It is very much a “Do what I want you to do, how I want you to do it, and when I want you to do it” management style. They constantly remind you of how much money you can make there which gets annoying after a while. The service team and the sales team are constantly at odds. Not just Cintas, but the industry in general is very sleazy, much like a car dealership. They screw over their smaller customers with enormous year over year price increases. I know a particular salesperson who is having a lot of success their who has no problem lying to his customers, and never answering their calls when the problems come. As long as he keeps the deals coming Cintas does not care. Corporate greed is on full display at Cintas. The Management Development program for college graduates seems like a great opportunity. If you are a young college graduate and you get the opportunity, I would recommend that.
