Pros
- Customers respect and value you (more than management do) so you do feel like you are making an impact - Surrounded by good/helpful people (excluding upper management) although a lot of them have since moved on - Breaks and time out are encouraged, which helps with coping with the enormous work loads forced onto the staff - Product is actually decent, and has a great variety of different and exciting customers that sell all sorts of things
Cons
- Salary is far from 'market' unless you've recently joined - Leadership team is a group of more like a group of 'mates' from the same previous work place, this leads to poor direction and biased decision making from within the company - You'll get a 'shout out' if you fix an issue, or help a customer outside of your normal working hours, this promotes and encourages a very negative work/life balance -It's hard to grow or progress career wise, you'll get earmarked to move up a rank, but that won't happen for months, until you are backfilled and that person can replace you
