Pros
• Fantastic team and working environment, interns are well treated and looked after. • As part of Kering group all interns are paid £650 per month + £60 expenses topped on monthly on a company card - very reasonable considering all other fashion internships in London are unpaid. As a paid intern you feel valued. • Hours are comparatively not too bad within the fashion industry, working from 9am-10/11pm for approx. 3 weeks in the run up to fashion week, but 9:30- 6pm every day the rest of the year. • A good opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a luxury fashion design brand - seeing how the company is split into different teams, learning about non-design roles such as product development. • Access to Kering internal sales (where you can buy discounted McQueen, Balenciaga etc.) • Most CK employees are old interns who were offered jobs after graduation.
Cons
• Intern tasks can get repetitive- lots of hand sewing, cutting out fabric and running errands. Limited opportunity for progression/gaining more responsibility during your internship.
